Prepreg Flexible Composites

Prepreg flexible composites are manufactured by impregnating electrical flexible composites with modified thermosetting insulating resin and baking to a semi-cured state. The insulating resin typically used is modified epoxy insulating resin, containing active groups such as epoxy groups and amino groups. These prepregs offer extended storage life at room temperature, rapid curing at medium and high temperatures, excellent interlaminar adhesion, and superior electrical properties with strong interlaminar bonding performance.

Primary Applications

Commonly used for interlayer insulation of low-voltage windings in dry-type transformers, as well as slot insulation for motors and electrical appliances, insulation between turns, phases, and padding applications. Products are available in rolls or can be custom-cut into tapes or sheets.

Product Features

This B-stage prepreg is manufactured from a soft composite of polyester film and polyester fiber non-woven fabric (DMD), coated on both sides with modified epoxy insulating resin and baked. The cured product delivers:

Heat resistance rating of 155 (F)
Smooth appearance with uniform resin distribution

Application Fields

Suitable for interlayer insulation of low-voltage coils in dry-type transformers, as well as slot insulation and turn-to-turn insulation for B and F class motors and electrical appliances.
